Pokemon LeafGreen Nuzlocke (Episode 2)

5/4/2024

Welcome back to the second episode! Now with images!... Yeah I apologize that I don't have a screen capture device for my DS so I'm just gonna have to take screenshots like this.. I also apologize if my old ass DS has these black pixels across the screen. Something like that might've happened due to impact.

This screencap over here was taken after we took on the Vermillion City gym, featuring one new trusty new members of the team. Meet Thumb, our Diglett who swept Lt.Surge's team with his mighty Magnitudes. I named him "Thumb" because Digletts just look like thumbs, or rather the thumb people from Spy Kids lol.

The newcomer introductions don't stop there though. Whilst on my way to heading back to Cerulean City to get to Celadon City, I came across a Pikachu in the Viridian Forest, named her "Mitchie" and got to training her to be on the same approximate level as the rest of the team. In order to evolve Mitchie into a Raichu, I headed to the department store in Celadon City to buy and use the Thunderstone. Speaking of evolutionary stones, I used the Moonstone on Vegas to evolve him into a Clefable. In the same city, I found me an Eevee on the roof of one of the buildings and named her "Esther". Shortly before that, I cleverly bought a Firestone alongside that Thunderstone so I could evolve Esther into a Flareon. Now we got a Fire type to challenge the next gym!... Or do we?..

As much as I leveled Esther a little more whilst in the gym, she still wouldn't learn much of any Fire type moves sadly. Luckily though, we got Renny, a Flying type, to protect such a precious creature, as I'm pretty sure aside from trading, this would be the only time I'd be able to get an Eevee in the entire darn game. (I may be wrong but yeah..) One thing that did catch my team off-guard though was the one trainer in the gym who used an Exeggcute. That thing's high defense stat and Leech Seed almost fucked Esther over. It also didn't help that we had to stock up on a bunch of status-healing potions as Grass types are notorious for pulling of that sort of shit. but as always, Renny came to save the day, and thus did the heavy-lifting during our battle with Erika.

Now you may have been wondering, "Where's Benedict?" Well, I took him off the team temporarily before going into that gym because Water is weak to Grass of course, and I also forgot to clarify on the previous episode that he evolved into a Wartortle around the time we first got to Cerulean City.

Now he's back!!

In the meantime, I'll go challege Team Rocket at the casino and find my way to Fuschia City to challenge the next gym. See you in the next episode!
